11/23/2023 0 Comments Bwana bob kona vacation cottageHis original post is simply a negative, mean and nasty bashing without one bit of fact backing it up. HD has not given you true or accurate information regarding Bwana Bob's. HD states he is a "local person living in Kona" yet has never been to Bwana Bob's Cottages although he could have. HD is advising you that Bwana Bob's is "a waste of money and a dump" along with other lies. Whomever HD is, nor how old he is makes no difference to his veracity. I certainly have no financial interest in your establishment or any of your comeptitors, but I do have an interest in responding to posts that contain false/misleading information. Is this something you discuss with prospective guests-your web site does not say that.? Many rental companies void the contract if the car is driven on an unpaved road. They apparently chose to rent a larger car." If that couple had rented the type of car we recommend they would NOT have bottomed out. **"Regarding the gal that said our road was a "nightmare" she and her partner were WELL informed of the fact that it is partially unpaved road, not steep nor treacherous, and a bit over 1/2 mile long before they booked the Cottage. (This is called selection bias, I believe.) Unless someone had the list of every guest, "randomly" selecting from a partial list selected by you would not be a random sample. They can email them at random and get candid testimonials." **"Any interested party can simply email us and we'll provide them with a guest list of at least 25 couples. Another one (site unknown) appears to be a college student interested in Christian Rock. Hopefully your negative comment about HD is a simple mistake not a deliberate untruth.īy the way, the "hawaiidan" in Oahu that comes up on google is a 19-year-old skateboarder. Perhaps you were hasty in your google search or are not yet skilled in searching (to know that many times the top links are not what you are looking for). I believe this it totally incorrect and that he lives in Kona. You cannot really be in a rural area AND be in the thick of things for tours and activities on this island.**"We did a google search on hawaiidan and he lives in Honolulu, Oahu, not the island of Hawaii!" So, I will repeat, it's a question of vacation style as to whether this is a practical location. Going to VNP is the only really common activity that is more convenient from Honaunau. Read the itineraries and most trip reports and you'll see what I mean.įor people who want to take a snorkel tour, then go horseback riding in Waipi`o, take a trip to see the waterfalls, take a Mauna Kea Summit tour, Manta Ray Diving, and so forth, every one of those things would require driving into town or beyond. However, all the LE's and others who answer queries day in and day out can attest to 90% or more of the people who post looking for lodgings have very different styles in that they want to go go go somewhere different every day and see as much as possible. This is the kind of vacation that works for staying in South Kona. The last poster's comment about the type of vacation is just what I meant about style. I added your name re concerns with licensing and property management, etc. Hey, TT, absolutely, what I thought I said (meant to say) is that HawaiiDan doesn't like B&B or these types of vacation rentals. In fact, I always tell people to stay at those instead of hotels on the East side and in Volcano. It's not that I don't like B&Bs and vacation rentals.
